Except that there are trillions of stars and trillions of planets and it is absurd to think that out of all those there is not a single planet that has any sort of life.
There is every reason to assume there is life.

They are out there, but I'm not sure if they are just here or not.

Also yes, everyone and anyone has every right to believe intelligent life exists somewhere out of our system. Doing the math and concluding no life exists would just make you look like a huge dumb ass.

It bugs me that some people think that theres no E.Ts besides us because it very obvious that there is out Of ALLLLLLLLLLL the room there is in space nothing forms like us.

If there is intelligent life out there, it's either a damn shame or a giant blessing that they're too far away for us to make contact with.
(Damn shame if they're friendly and we can learn from them and them from us. Giant blessing if they're war mongerers who want to enslave or destroy us.)

Of course, I think if we came into contact with ETs, we'd end up being huge bigots towards them. Good example of this would be the movie District 9 or the movie Contact (where the government automatically assumes the device which they receive extra-terrestrial schematics for is going to be some kind of doomsday device to wipe out mankind).

We KNOW that there is life besides us in the universal, I think not too long ago we discovered life on one of Saturn's or Jupiter's moons, the problem is that the universe is so big that there is no way of definitely knowing that there are other forms intelligent life out there (yet) and it's foolish to claim that there is definitely intelligent life with out any way to demonstrate it.

I am having trouble understanding what you mean by this. I personally think that this will never occure. As humans shouldn't stoop that low. A maximum age to me is just horrible decision. Although, I would like to have a mature conversation about it, if anyone wants to.

I think he meant how long we can live before dying of old age, and that all the fuel in our hypothetical spacecraft would run out before we reach any intelligent life (if any).

Although I suppose you could try the old sci-fi self-sufficient mega spaceship theory, where you have a ship filled with people and plants and such so that it will be self-sufficient and fuel will be made, new generations born and so on that the ship can continue cruising through space until it finds some intelligent life or something.
Of course, that'd pretty much be condemning the pioneer astronauts to death in space. But then again if they have children and have developed relationships up there in their mega ship it wouldn't be so bad I guess.

Ah my bad. Good point friend. I reckon the government or any one high in the ranks would be able to control sending people out into space. As people would be left behind and such. Unless you mean like a group or a large amount me people testing if its possible to travel to other planets. lol again thanks for correcting me.
