Actually I said that this obviously isn't a technical discussions, to which you said that reading a single paragraph is enough to catch you up and allow you to participate in a topic you know nothing about, to which I was surprised that you would find that acceptable and said I hope you don't seriously do that.

I never said people should participate without any knowledge, you were the one peddling that idea...
No I'm not depressed because i have a reason for living.
My simple reason for living is because everyone around me needs me and i fill a void as small as it may be based on who your asking, so I basically live to not be selfish thinking that my life means nothing, I only live for others
So no I'm not depressed because i have a reason for living.

Well not to be mean but you sound a little full of yourself. So basicly you allow someone tol live BY living?Anyway,Selfishness has nothing to do with depression. It is a feeling of absolute despair and "Emotional pain".This thread is now irrelevant. The creator can close it now :/

i've been praying a lot, it helps with depression if anyone who's not a christian bothers to try it
no im not trying to be full of myself and im not saying that i let someone live by me living.
im saying that however little it would sadden my family it would make them sad.

Depression can be both a sickness and a revelation of truth. One may be depressed due to chemical imbalances or more medically related issues, however when you look at life, it is rather grim. It's proven that intelligent people are more commonly depressed than those who are not, or vice versa, that depressed people are commonly more intelligent than those who are not. In any scenario, I believe that those who are understanding of reality and it's current state, tend to feel depressed as it is not in any-way, exactly positive. So many things about life are depressing, and although there is indeed a balance of both positivity and negativity, the balance in tipped. Even if one were to say that there is more positive than negative, which I disagree with.. it is quite apparent that our society focuses much more on that of which is negative than that of which is positive.

I've learned quite a bit about depression in my experiences. So here's what I can say about depression. Depression can be MOST defiantly a chemical disorder lemme pull up an example. here we go Postpartum Depression basically if your to lazy to find out or just don't know what this is, is Depression in mothers after their baby is born. Think of it as a chemical high like a drug per say the mother is so happy when her baby is born her her brain releases a high concentration of endorphin's So her "happiness level" also rises Much like a lot of drugs do However after all the happiness of the baby is born the mothers "happiness level" drops to an all time low in an attempt to make up for Releasing so many endorphin's before, resulting as what is called "depression" and as somebody said before i believe It can be corrected by medical usage. That is just one example of Many different kinds of depression, so in a sense I guess depression is both mental and chemical in a sense considering the chemicals take place in your head.
