Silent was a soldier that was dead and had the collar (puppet master) put on him, bringing him back to life. All I know.

Yep that's correct. The collar was meant for Leach but fell into Human hands :P

6 days left for demo release ^^

i hope they release more character bios soon.
also it would be awsome if the current 6 characters were playable in the demo, but i guess only Leach and Plasma will be available

Wouldn't you rather play as two characters and and build up excitement for the full game? I mean, I'm disappointed too, but playing two characters allows me/us to get a feel for the game (which is why they did that I guess).
