This man who has hundreds of millions of dollars just got payed 20,000 dollars and got acres of land for free, and free demolition of the house on the property. There is not reason to give a man this rich so much because he's rich....This is a tax loophole like so many others where people get out of paying taxes to the government, do you think this is fair or something?

also, have you ever thought about the possibility that he's rich because he uses the loopholes instead of being able to use the loopholes for being rich?

This point doesn't make much sense to be honest, on the surface it seems logical, but if you think about it many tax loopholes are harder to use as a working class person, for instance one of the largest tax loopholes is the incredibly low capital gains tax, a very large percentage of the income of the very rich is capital gains. http://visualizingeconomics.com/2008...ome-1992-2005/

As such, they abuse the loopholes to continue to become more rich, but they need a fairly large amount of money to get into that.

frankly, it doesn't matter, we are talking about tax loopholes, many of which send wealth oversees ( http://www.factcheck.org/2008/02/oil...ny-tax-breaks/ ) which is obviously bad for the US, so closing them should be a priority.

Wow it is a lot more widespread than I thought it was.

I wonder what effect this will have. Is the US seeing any positive coverage in the media yet?

Absolutely not. The liberal media in the U.S is as ignorant as can be at this point.

I live in Rhode Island, and here we have an "Occupy Providence" taking place in Burnside Park. Even with picket signs and rallies, the women on our local news network can't seem to figure out what the motive is behind the protest.

You can watch the segment here:

Police are getting pretty intense.

Here police use tear gas on protesters, and throw a grenade on to a group of protesters stopped to help an unconscious man.

Also reports of protesters being fired upon with rubber bullets and beanbag rounds.

If your looking for positive coverage in the media for the occupy movement I watch The Young Turks; http://www.theyoungturks.com
TYT is also being shown on current; http://current.com/shows/the-young-turks/
TYT also set-up Wolf-pac, which is a movement based around Occupy pretty much to draw further support for it.
To be sure they have a political bias to do what they think is right, I like TYT because they admit that they have that bias, and they transparently believe that what they think is the right way to fix many of the problems in America, as well as generally being quite an educated opinion. Shows like CNN or Fox-News however show the opposite pretence that they have no bias, don't always seem that educated on the issues, and tend to make decisions that seem to better pad their own wallets.

Incidentally what do people think of wolf-pac? http://www.wolf-pac.com/

Yeah I watch TYT from time to time, I meant main-stream media.
Anything on TV really?
