If I remember correctly, if any staff member's account becomes hacked, or their pass leaked they are banned permanently so the hacker can't do any more damage.

once things are cleared up and passwords are changed, they become unbanned.

Actually we ban any account that's "hacked", and 99.9% of the time it isn't staff. Complaints had nothing to do with Alan's removal. It's not like we just let someone try to destroy the forums, and then wait for someone to complain about it before we fix it.

Yup, Alan's still banned just because he doesn't really have any interest in returning to toribash, so there's not much point unbanning the account.
