Even though you were replying to yourself...You don't seem to understand the key point. Yes, homophobic jokes and insults are prevalent on Toribash and the internet as a whole, more-so than racism, and it's reasonable to think that less people are offended by homophobic remarks than racist ones, but what I'm saying is it shouldn't be that way. I wasnt replying to my self, I was quoting my self and linking to the comment. Anyways, its not a double standard, because they arent on the same level at all. You cant joke about a persons race on the internet without offending 2 or more people. Thats just the way it is. homosexual humor is just something popular on the gaming community, that doesnt intend any harm or insult. its Humor when its an insult thats when its a problem. you are trying to turn the jokes into the insults and make it all the same thing. If im not mistaken, racism is in someway illegal(not supported under freedom of speech.

So when someone loses a match and they simply type "gay" that's a joke? Or when during an argument someone whips out a term like faggot, that's just a joke and not an insult?

you havent understood a word I said. if someone loses a match and they say its gay, its the lightharded homosexual sense of humor the gaming community lives in. when someone calls another a faggot its a statement toward that person with intentions of being an insult. but as I said before insults and complements and insults are all a matter of perspective. for example being called homosexual may be a an insult to one man but another man may have no issue with it for a load of other reasons. you gotta look at all the different ways this is fewed if you truely want to debate, cause your just looking at it your way. I see everything you are talking about, but you are not refering to the sense of humor, you are refering to why people can insult someone with race and be banned but not banned with homosexual insults or jokes. its simply because few people report those cases.
