Half the game modes nowadays are mods.
Playing excess amount of modes, and mods with extra changes, some of them revolved around randomness like instagib, distract you from concentrating, and becoming very good at something, something that you like.
I see no reason to try and be good at everything, I preferred the times when there were basically only a set of official modes, but now they are rarely updated. afaik, you dont want to play everything either yourself.
