If you honestly think youre gonna accomplish anything with this then best of luck to you. I can't handle all this fedora anymore.

evidently enough to pass their activity checks; i have irc open daily, and it's not like it takes conscious effort to have it open and be in it unless you're constantly using webchat or something. it's not as bad as it was a couple years ago (i remember this because i stopped using irc as well around the same timeframe).

you guys need to realize that skype can not be accurately measured because it would be unfair to judge one clan based on skype activity that we can't literally see for ourselves while not giving the same opportunity to other clans. skype is also not related to toribash in any way, this is the perfect example of an external form of activity, while irc is not.
So I was right, you are suggesting that we should use our limited internet speed to keep a tab open to irc and just idle indefinitely. I checked it over the past few days a couple times and even when I stayed on for an hour only 3 other people talked. I couldn't possibly think of a bigger waste of my time.

my irc client idles daily whenever my computer is on and takes up nearly no internet usage whatsoever, i don't know how skype is a better alternative regarding internet usage other than the fact that it's preferable and you guys have used it for longer, which is understandable. no one is active in #toribash if this is what you are relating to. i'm talking about specific clan channels, not the irc as a whole. during our checks, we look for activity within each clans' own channels, not to see if they are idling in #support or #toribash or something.

waste of time? maybe. possible and viable solution to helping a clan's indefinite and lacking activity? maybe.

this is a suggestion to help your clan, i don't know why it's been taken so harshly. if you don't want to use irc, then don't use it, i was simply suggesting it as an alternative if you can't maintain a moderate level of activity on the forums or in-game.

I don't know why this is such a crusade for you guys to go forth with this, despite all the backlash you're recieving here and on the discussion thread.

Right, so thats how clans are supposed to work? Removing people you enjoy playing with the most for the sake of activityyyyyyyyy is not something we have ever done in our 7 years of existance.

We're all grown up people with obligations and quite simply not everyone has the time to stop by regularly, while most of the time theres nothing to talk about anyway because there is just nothing going on in this game. While we do have around 4 regulars in the clan I'm not gonna kick the rest that is posting infrequently. Any clan with a backbone would do the same.
We never asked you (or anyone) to kick any inactive members. Neither did SkulFuk.

Chilling. Rip Urban unit
As is the case with most of the UrbanUnit members, it is just not possible for me to visit on a regular basis. A lot of us back in the day were teenagers/young adults with no work to do, granting us the availability to waste valuable days of our lives perfecting SP and/or winning tournaments.

Call me sentimental when I say this because it is the prime concern with killing off the clan, UrbanUnit was the only reason I would ever come back to the game. I have been a member since 2008 which has been a considerable period of my life. Granted, my activity for the last few years was a joke due to technical issues and studies, but I would still check the forum regularly to see how everyone was doing, watch us climb the ranks and admire the talent of other members.

Players like Leilak, Numbers, Leyz and whatnot have all contributed immensely to the Toribash community, but we just cannot waste our lives any more on the forums, in game or on IRC. We all of study/work to do. I'm pretty sure all of us are adults now: mature members of the community. I know it's not a big loss to Toribash if 'Alessandro' becomes forever inactive, but you'd be killing the primary incentive for any of us to return to the game. There will not be a Numbers, Samopal or anyone of the sort. We all come back for the clan and that's it. If it takes occasionally joining competitions and always participating in the world tournament then so be it, but playing all the time to be considered 'alive' again is a stretch.

We are active enough (now especially after this wakeup call) to be a fully functional clan. Don't tear apart the family because of these 'official' conditions. We may be inactive but we're certainly not dead. Albeit, we're not asking to be deemed 'untouchable' because of the years we've spent playing the game or because of our contribution to the game, but we ask you respect the fact that we can't spend our lives on Toribash, and give a little more leniency. Otherwise, you're losing a whole clansworth of members forever into inactivity.
