I'm more interested in distinguishing between certain words, rather than the pronunciation for a specific word, at the moment. If you see any word pairs/triplets above that you pronounce differently, then I would like to know.

Put=/=putt for me. It is as described in the skype conversation.
courter=/=quarter. In courter, the ou sound is not established until a bit later. The gap is filled with a fusion of the oh and oo sounds.
steer=/=stir. Steer is pronounced with the long ee sound, while stir is short i.

Those are the only three that are different for me. Keep in mind I have 'the invisible accent.'

I've recorded each word in an audio file and will send it to you in a skype or PM. Hope I was of some assistance.
