Hi, some of you may remember me from 2014-2015 since I played mostly on that time span. I won't tell you my name but I'm
20 and I live in nothern Italy (GMT +1), quite close to Venice actually. I'm in university (physics) and I'm actually studying to complete the second year's exams, significantly more complex than the last year's ones to be honest. That's why the last two months stressed me quite a bit and I'm releasing the tension here on Toribash right now, hoping to find someone to talk with and have fun together.
Talking about Toribash, the
raw stats are: 7300 games played over 1000 total hours with a win ratio of 62%. I can safely say that more of 95% of those 7300 games went into aikido mods, so that is basically what I can do:
abd, greykido, aikido and judo/judofrac. I know mushu, lenshu, rk-mma and similar stuff only superficially. I don't have replays to show you since I deleted the old Toribash folder. Other strenghts are drawing capabilities, I don't consider myself that good of an artist but I did a lot of head textures that I sold and two sets, including mine. If you are curious this is my
DeviantArt page.
A brief look at my Toribash career: at the very beginning I joined
Divine, a small unofficial clan where I had a lot of fun until it died of inactivity. After that little tragedy I switched to
Origin and had quite a bit of wars with Obey too, I spent over an year there and I built solid relations with a lot of its members. I did all sorts of stuff, going from war meat shield, to recruiter, to war commander, up to co leader. Eventually I stopped playing ingame and focused only on clan management and became for a brief period of time (I wasn't fired, I went inactive shortly after. Mathias was very patient with me) the Rapid Thread moderator together with Cheshyre. In Origin we've always had inactivity problems and the clan ended up dying some months after I left and I lost contacts with all of them.
I left not only because I was getting bored but mainly because Toribash was sucking up a lot of my time too and since the last high school year was coming I wanted to dedicate myself on that. Didn't work as expected: eventually I was hooked up by other games but in the end all went well.
Why Obey? Mainly because I always find some of you ingame in a lot of different servers and the games against Obey members are usually quite challenging. Activity means that the main challenge of the clan is not maintaining signs of life. Also Obey always had a dominant presence in the game since when I first joined the game, this gives me some kind of familiarity with the clan that brings me to this decision.
Pros: fights good, drawing skills, good jokes, can write in english, Dungeon Master of an homebrew campaign (fun nerdy D&D stuff), big profile pic (it used to move too), well hydrated, appeared in Toribash youtube videos, can write applications even during a blackout.
Cons: dubious activity, sucks at everything besides aikido mods, jokes aren't actually that good, doesn't like voice chat (pizza mandolino pronunciation), can be annoying, dislikes stereotipes, sometimes uses Internet Explorer.
Actual serious topic: activity. It might not be good for the fate of this application but I desire to make it clear. While in this period I can, in the future I might have problems to stay active as I used to in 2014-2015, especially in the periods when I have exams. I'm talking mainly about ingame activity, using the forums is much more immediate. Please consider accepting me if this is not a problem for you.
One hour and half into this and I didn't even realize that I was listening to the same song in a loop. My brain is fried.
