Also, Gallium isn't found as an ore, traces of it are found in other ores, Uranium is slightly radioactive and is immensely heavy, the radiation being alpha and gamma, a person would probably get radiation poisoning after a long time of being so near the source. Also the fact that there would be Uranium dust everywhere, the people would be constantly inhaling and eating alpha radiation.
