Yea, so I just got this game.
What does it mean by "Recording official competitive match stats for this map requires an operation breakout all access pass"?
Does that mean you have to pay more to get ranked and stats?

no you probably joined an operation breakout map, default maps are fine

There was a bit of DLC added about a month or so ago that added new maps, in addition to extra stat tracking on competitive. You do not need that DLC to play competitive (except on the new maps, but you can bypass that if a friend has the DLC), and you do not need the DLC to access basic stat tracking in the options (Headshot %, Kills, Deaths, favorite gun, etc.).

If you buy the DLC you will also get "Missions" and access to new weapon skins and crates that will be randomly dropped while playing. "Missions" are psuedo-quests that tell you to get a certain number of kills on a certain map on a certain mode, or play a certain mode x number of times, etc. etc. etc. These will also drop weapon skins/crates that vary in quality and worth.

I think I touched base on everything there? Not entirely sure. Most of the new maps are pretty crappy though, and they will only be there for a limited time, unless they become extremely popular and added to the base game (I.E,. Cache). It's not looking like any of the new maps will be staying though, none of them have been as popular as Cache, from what I've seen.
