God I hate this laptop.

I'll post the specs for my desktop in a few hours when I get home.

I have about the same as this on this laptop.

I have a Alienware m14x, used to have a terrible computer, it was a huge upgrade Bought it from my brother at a cheap price, we are very close. Hopefully I will no longer have to play games on a console and instead I can use my laptop.

Interrogation- Clan Event

Hello Oblivion!

Welcome to Interrogation. You've most likely played this with people you know, but not with TC at stake.

The objective here is to get to know your clan members better.

Here's how it works:

1. You must answer whatever question is currently presented with utmost honesty, else what would the fun be in that?

2. Ask a question, it can be anything, but please keep it appropriate and acceptable. It will be open for anyone to answer, so do not direct it to a single person.

What is suppose to occur in this thread is open, interesting conversation.

There are 3 prizes:

  • Best Questions: 1,000 TC + Random Item
  • Best Answers: 1,000 TC + Random Item
  • Most Contributions: 3,000 TC

Your only limit to how often you can post is that there must be two new additions before you answer/ask again. Fail to do this will make your addition invalid.

This event will end in a week, thread will close and questions and answers will be judged then.

Ask and answer away, and best of luck.

Question #1: If you could travel to anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?

EDIT: Your question must be original, no repeats. However, you can answer previous questions asked just for the fun of it.

There are some advantages to consoles. Like TONS of exclusive games.

Question #1 Answer: Probably Great Britain, because that's where they film Doctor who.

Question: Who is your favorite fictional character?

Also you need to be careful with love, because if you mistake the type of love, it can be deadly. If you get denied hard, because the other person likes you, but doesn't love you, then you may become broken.

[/QUOTE]

Perhaps if you've been with a person for years. But as a teenager, I don't think the people my age have the right to say they are "heartbroken." It appears so pathetic.

Wight, I can't disagree when you say love is not necessary, but surely it must be labeled as important. Is love not one of the factors why we are not ruthless animals, have emotions that albeit betray us? I would think it to be impossible to not feel love at somepoint. It's a passion.

It's a huge part of our music, literature, and day to day lives and social connections.

So everything you said does make sense, but like I previously asked,

You say importance ties to survival. But there are things important to a person that they don't need to survive, but that they want. As we are not primitive, I wouldn't think importance is limited to lust and food and protection.

Am I answering the next person's question or the original one posed by Vrad?
All it takes is one bad day to reduce the sanest man alive to lunacy. That’'s how far the world is from where I am. Just one bad day.
My observations of the justifications for love seem to indicate that the concept is not natural; it is a very strong, ingrained response, which came to be as a result of an upbringing in our current society (of the developed world, as a whole).

Perhaps as a result of my own personal (perhaps, you might say, deficient) upbringing, I tend to view concepts such as love in a less positive manner, in particular, because of its pervasiveness in the public consciousness. I do not deny that the most fundamental forms of "love" (more accurately referred to a familial attachment and lust) exist, as I recognize and acknowledge the existence of the physical processes which can bring about such feelings. I would, however, reject the more abstract level of "love" which is so commonly touted as fact. It has a historical basis, has survived for centuries, and has also been successfully assimilated into many different cultures, but the concept of romantic love, as we know it, is not a universal human response.

I would challenge anyone reading this to clearly define, from your own perspective, what romantic love is, as a distinct concept from all other forms of love, as well as lust. You may find that it is a very subjective experience, unlike such universal emotions as fear or boredom. Just as other factors (e.g. money, drugs, or politics) can be subjectively important to some, it cannot be said to be intrinsically important.

If this is true, then I may need to consult a psychiatrist.

Ok I think I misunderstood the rules. I thought he meant you couldn't post two questions of your own before at least two people answer the first one. I think he meant you can't pose another question until at least two people answer the first regardless of whether it was your question or someone else's.

Ignore my new question then.

I challenge you to clearly state what romantic love is, from your own perspective.

I accept.

Romantic love for me is attraction that is both physical and nonphysical. While you do want to be close to and come into bodily contact with this hypothetical significant other, there is a stronger attraction to the person for their personality and your mutual enjoyment of one another's company. It transcends this of course, but that is the base of it. True romantic love is extremely difficult to express with words, as human language is extremely limited in its ability to express itself. It is a sense of euphoria, of pure enjoyment at the thought of being with this person, and knowing that they enjoy your company as well. This comes from very recent (last night) personal experience.
