Ill just ask the same thing Dafe did back in 2006.
Will the missing joint be there to perform realistic moves?
with missing joint i mean the elbow. I mean in reality you can not just bend it, you can also turn it.

Does missing joint also include that your knees can bow in and out slightly, irl.
your ankles, your wrists, and neck would all have extra joints or do you think it would be considered something like "strain joints" left and right?

I know hampa isnt gonna answer this directly but what would be the downfall to this?

Isn't that your wrist?
But yeah I understand what you're talking about.
Hi
Rapid Threads Lmod.
Got any questions? Feel free to ask!

That would definitely be your wrist.

Elbow is a hinge joint, which means only one direction.

However, the shoulder is a socket and can move in multiple directions. Implementing this would undoubtedly change the meta too much. Too many combinations for players to anticipate.

Raise shoulder clockwise rotate
Raise shoulder counterclockwise rotate
Lower shoulder clockwise rotate
Lower shoulder counterclockwise rotate

Way too many things to learn in my opinion, but hey it would be very interesting to see it implemented.
