It's preperation for college. If you don't do your work in college, nobody gives a damn, you just fail quietly in the corner.
Teachers don't care about there students on a personal level, they just want to get paid.
I don't think so. Most teachers only want students to get good grades because it makes them look like they are a good teacher. Remember, at the end of the day, it's still just a job.
You're generalizing teachers as robot businessmen. If you spend an entire school year in a class with children, an emotional connection will be made with at least some of them.
