Teachers don't care about there students on a personal level, they just want to get paid.

I don't think so. Most teachers only want students to get good grades because it makes them look like they are a good teacher. Remember, at the end of the day, it's still just a job.

I had a Madea-esque type teacher for Algebra 2 and it was insane.
My Pre-Cal teacher is cool. But, my geometry had the respect of every kid in the class(he was a monotone speaker though. Only things I don't know about geometry from the class is sines, cosines, and tangents.

Thats 100% true, I noticed how they encourage rather than force you to work. That really helped me to take a much more mature approach to how I structure my time/work and is a really valuable learning experience.
Perhaps if you kids actually wanted to learn a given subject, their teaching would make more sense?

And a_coathanger, I learned sines cosines and tangents WITHOUT taking geometry, seriously what did you learn in that class? xD

You're generalizing teachers as robot businessmen. If you spend an entire school year, 5-7 hours a weekday in a class with children, an emotional connection will be made with at least some of them. And this is from experience.

My first post in a thread is usually aimed at the OP's post first, but I have no fucking idea what he's saying.

Most of my teachers have acquired a negative emotional connection.

They take one look at me and know I'm up to something, even if I'm just doing my work.
