{Event} Texture Triathlon: Gradients
Welcome textures and artists, in the next few weeks AlphasoniK and I will be sponsoring a triad of events where you can test your abilities in specific areas of texturing. This first event's theme of Gradients, will require you to make nicely shaded Headtexture mainly out of shapes and gradients.
Rules
- Only Gradients, Shapes (Line, Lasso, Pen tool, Paint Bucket, ect), Gaussian Blurs, and strokes can be used to make your Headtexture
- Only one entry allowed per person
- Headtexture must be made for this event
- Maximum resolution is 512x
- Feel free to do whatever you want to with the heads after you present them.
- Ends in three weeks! (June 22)
Judging
Your entries will be judged by AlphasoniK and myself, we also have a specialist judge for Gradients: Pate5!
We'll be looking at Overall Quality and Shading when we judge.
Prizes
1st Place: 80k
2nd Place: 40k
3rd Place: 10k

The way it looks now, I think we should extend the end date.
None of the heads I see here deserve the prizes to be honest.
I'll let JinxZ decide though.

I needed practice for Oyster and Vark's thingy so I decided to make a head.
I thought I might as well follow these rules and enter it here so I could maybe get some extra money.
I made it and posted it here.
I made a tutorial on it.
I added some texture and then sold the head to Mwah.
So I guess yes and no. It wasn't made before this competition if that's what you were asking though.
It said feel free to do whatever after you presented them.
I hope I didn't do anything wrong :C
@AlphasoniK, Yea I also was expecting more entries that favor simplicity. Although, we do still have five days left on my watch till' judging begins. Maybe we should wait a little longer for entries, and see if anyone interested in competing needs extra time first.
On that note, if anyone here needs more then the five days till the end date provided to get their entries nice and ready; do say so, that way AlphasoniK and I can increase the end date a little bit for you to get done.
@Me, I'll try and keep this simple and say that if you already began physically texturing for Oyster and Varkenoss's event then I'd have to disqualify you. But if you were just thinking of entering your head for both when you came here then that's fine. By the sound of what you've said it seems like you didn't start until you saw this event, and did all those other things after you posted your entry.
Just to clarify though, if any of the texturing was done before you saw this event, then your disqualified. But otherwise, I don't plan to go all 1984 on you and judge you by your thoughts.
EDIT: On a different note, I'll be busy at an orientation til' Sunday. So I won't be able to respond to any questions until then.
