Secret Santa 2024
As I said on IRC, society states money has value, ergo money = wealth = power. Therefore players think Tc = some kind of position.

While you are saying that the permanent booster is affecting inflation, I don't see why there couldn't be a little intevention here. Nabi are clearly attempting to replicate an organic market; a problem is that it is being distorted by such boosters. I suggest that the expendature of anyone with a permanent, high-value booster not be counted in the market value calculations.
"Call yourself alive? I promise you you'll be deafened by dust falling on the furniture,
you'll feel your eyebrows turning to two gashes, and your shoulder blades will ache for want of wings."
But then that allows someone to get whatever they want, and as much as they want to be able to give out money and items and allow them to circulate.

What situation in real life allows someone to get an infinite amount of money for ever and ever?
Duplicating money.
Which is illegal.

The solution to your first point is blatantly obvious - the members with unlimited boosters can buy however much of whatever they like and move it as they like, however much the prices are increasing. Remove the inflation that they cause = no effect on them, better for everyone else.

I want these boosters kept, providing their use is very highly monitored and it is made sure they are used only to support the community and never for personal gain.

Some considerations.

- We pay out 200-600k TC every day in winnings (hence a 100k tournament won't impact inflation)
- I don't think we have increased the price of items 3x in the store. New items are for most parts based on the price of colored blood.
- No booster is unlimited. As long as you subscribe to it, you have it

For those interested in our economy I can publish the daily report I get. I have no intention of letting inflation run amok here.

I do like information...

But 100k to a person working on a medium-hard job that was lucky enough to have his parents buy an expensive video editing program?

providing their use is very highly monitored

That would be much more work for admins

and it is made sure they are used only to support the community and never for personal gain.

But, hes paying out 100k for his clans personal gain.

I can haz 100kay foor caln vidieoh?

Monitoring: You get other community members and, yes, admins to watch them. Admins can simply look at their logs once a day. Not too difficult.

Clans: That isn't what I meant. By "community" I meant the entire community, such as open events and such.

the 100k tournament seems to me like a contest for kai's clans personal gain funded by a booster given to him to use to contribute to nabi events.

Why not just put the whole community's best interests first and make it a contest like Hawkinz hosted? That way instead of kai paying freelances way to popularity, it can be a normal contest.

As for inflation, the first time it happened I'm very sure you realise how pissed off everyone was. If it were to happen a second time, well...lets hope it doesnt

WeRd, that point about clans was precisely what I was trying to say. This should be used as a means of helping support the community rather than further segregated gains.
