You'll get into roaming, Find the map called .minecraft and delete it.
Try to install minecraft again and play.

The launcher I posted works without problems.(iirc hipo uses that too)

I made a quiz and a new spawn area, although I'm still working on it. Type /warps to see all the different places you can warp too.
