But it only has a 2 week battery life I believe so that may be out of the finding.

The box sends out a ping every hour. It has a battery life of a month. They've already used the pings the box sends out to determine it's last known spot in the southern Indian Ocean, which would have been near the end of it's fuel. There are no land masses in that area. All evidence points towards a landing in one way or another in the middle of the ocean.

Finding the debris would confirm it, but all evidence up to this time supports that it has crashed.

And the reason they want the black box is because it stores important information about what was happening in the plane from take off to landing. Basically it allows for actual forensics work to determine the causes of the crash. It will stop pinging, but it will still hold the data. A French plane crashed off the Brazilian coast a few years back and it took them two years to find the box from the plane, but it still had the information.

And why the hell are theories where the plane and passengers are intact still going around? There is nowhere the plane could have landed along its likely path that would have allowed for anybody to disembark. There is no land, let alone civilizations, anywhere near it's last possible location. They are all, in all likelihood, dead.

its fuel is only for couple of hours
they have spotted another objects today
over 300 object found

Really Oracle? From my news channel it says that the black box has a 14 battery life. But, since Malaysia SAYS that the plane has crashed and everyone died, they said that, no confirming it really because the debris can also be other things than debris.
Team Sad
Watching the news this morning,
"Umm I guess we've been searching in the wrong place again".

The story keeps changing.....
If you listen carefully, none of the people on the radio know what they are talking about. They know how fast the plain was going, it's fuel, and it's height. They could have easily predicted the landing. Idk what was going on in their heads.
Chickster: I literally don't know why I did it.
being realistic, the plane probably just sunk in the ocean somewhere. it has been too long since it went missing and I doubt we will ever find out what really happened.
my condolences to the families. tragic stuff.

Black boxes are designed to last for 30 days of battery life for the ping, holds the last 24 hours of system flight data for all intents indefinitely, along with the last 2 hours of cockpit audio. Of course, not every box turns out perfectly, so some last for less and others last for longer, but it's usually within a week-wide window of 23 - 37 days.

And regardless of where in the Indian Ocean they say it crashed, the search range for where the plane had to have crashed is nowhere near a landmass. 2 weeks is more than enough time for any survivors of the crash to have died from dehydrarion or exposure. Regardless if the debris is found, it's safe to say everyone is dead at this point.

It is a conspiracy the way I see it. We wont know what happened until it turns up, but i find who was on the plane to be quite interesting. 2/3 patent holders for a valuable patent were on the plane (along with 28 other employees of the company if i remember correctly) and since the apparent death of the two other patent holders, the patent will now be fully in the name of the last patent holder (which is a corporation)

I also find it interesting America wouldn't divulge their satellite info to help find the plane for "national security" issues.

I wouldn't be surprised if this plane re appeared fully functional in some sort of terror incident in the near future. Israel actually took preparations incase of this plane turning up for an attack on Israel.

But in this day in age there is no excuse for the loss of an airplane of that size without foul play in my honest opinion.

And on the topic of the story changing, it is classic misdirection to distract you from the obvious questions.

<Faint> the rules have been stated quite clearly 3 times now from high staff
k thanks for that, i forgot about snopes, now i can double check tht sort of info . however it is still fishy, i still think there is misdirection, and i still think its strange america wouldn't share they're satellite info because of national security, and still believe losing an airplane is practically impossible without extreme circumstances or foul play.
