[GM]End of the Month Ranks Tournament


Hello and welcome. This is the oh so anticipated tournament for the best players this month! We have invited the top 32 players based on global elo to this event to battle it out to determine who truly is the greatest! The following combatants are invited:

Black, Zalf, BONDarenko, Daxx, Ove, cowmeat, Insanity, jack9918, Moop, GasBlunt, Animati0n, William, Kratos, rcarey, Daeldir, Flow, Tank, Weppetko, xXKaneXx, Nerobe, Swepples, Larxse, Dolphyno, KillerCyber, DrHax, altwcre666, Joker, DJMC, torassoohh, Sugar, lucastorre, DiableJum


We recommend using the irc channel #events to set up your fights, it's super useful like that!



The duel will be the best of 3. One match from each category. The first player may choose a mod from 1 category, the 2nd from another category, and then the last match will be either rk-mma/aikidobigdojo/betabox, determined by whichever category has not been picked yet.
Example:
Player 1. Erth
Player 2. Fates
Player 1 is whoever is on top in the bracket.

Erth chooses kicking category, taekkyon, Erth 1-0 Fates
Fates chooses grappling category, rb_greykido, Erth 1-1 Fates
Final unpicked category is striking, so the mod is rk-mma, Erth 1-2 Fates
Fates is the winner and moves onto the next round.

RULES:
Standard duel rules, if you ping/disconnect at any point during a match is counts as a win for your opponent.
Post replays of your fights.
No altering the setting of the mods.
The deadline will not be extended at all for anyone ever.

I live on the other side of the planet from my opponent. It's really difficult to set up a match let alone contact each other.

Got no response from my opponent. Not too surprised as he hasn't been on the forum in 2 weeks

I lost to animation, played my games in advance since working this weekend.
I don't know if I was supposed to play him but anyways, just let the next guy take me as a win weather it may be animation or someone else.

Willing to extend the first round only due to a few reasons
1) this event is somewhat a learning experience for everyone. The one thing we can guarantee for this event is that every single person here is active. The flipside of that is that they are active ingame, so i'm sure if you just continue to play the game at your normal rate you will find each other.
2) I'm nice like that
3) This is a pruposefully quick event but perhaps the first round is able to go on slightly logner, that's not too bad

So you have until I wake up tomorrow to finish your first round matches, then it'll be 24 hours for those that do that in the round after.

as such that unfortunately invalidates the cowmeat/animati0n thing


Just keep trying guys!

Yeah, I only don't like erthtkv2 because of the mod's name. Make it "tkv2," and the mod will instantly become more popular. This is a valid reason as the name of the mod is still an important feature that no one seems to have yet discussed.
