Revive Toribash
Toribash needs a revive, all it will take is a superficial update with flashy marketing/advertising, some swagged out videos. and then active moderating on beginner servers to keep out smurfs. with decent marketing and decent moderating 100% this game can get a revive, there is no other game competing against it.

Plz don't let it die slowly as its player base gets older and fades away.
Out of those 4 million I can tell you right now that about 300k are alts.

I don't really know if Toribash will ever be able to be revived because it is an old game and many people have already played it. But I guess we can try right?
I am going to beat N3WB one day dambit
even if it 1 million alts, that still leaves 3 million people,
and if you count qi buyers then the number for master and custom belt players is even smaller,
that is again bad.

A better tutorial would help loads and has been mentioned before (Scroll back a few pages in the thread list). The way I learned was through massive trial and error. I wanted to be able to be the best at a certain mod so I had to learn through losing or teach myself. the 'tutorial' we have is BEYOND bad, more like completely useless. Like who here actually learned how to play from the fight school?

i think i pressed it once when it came out out of curiosity,
but actually learning something from it? no way

how i learned to play, after learning what joint does what,i tried to imagine a move
with the help of the ghost,i would click each joint and look at each of the different 4 results to see how close i was.
If we were to use advertisements to gain new players, we should be strategic in where we place them. Putting ads on every random youtube video would bring new players, but, as it has been said before in this thread, most of them would lose interest rather quickly.

The reason I found this game and still play it today is for my interest in martial arts. It is not unreasonable to think people who do, or just have an interest in martial arts/mma irl would be much more likely to stick with this "martial arts simulator" than anybody else. That being said, if advertisements are to be put out, we should put them in places where these people will see it. For example: on youtube channels having to do with martial arts/mma or on martial arts/mma websites.

Now, I realize that advertisements cost money, and I realize that the devs aren't loaded with cash. If we really want this to happen, the community needs to donate some cash to the cause.

I don't give a flyin' fladoodle
Yeah, toribash could use some more attention towards new players, the learning curve that is involved in this game is pretty confusing. I'm gonna look into making a tutorial/intro on how I think is the easiest way to build a concept on how to move your tori. A new tutorial is definitely needed, I don't know how hard it would be to make one though. The biggest draw to this game I think is the competitive aspect of it, and how much you can customize your tori, with belt ranks going up in increments after 10,000 games, I can see why it would be annoying for some players that just want a high QI item but dont want to have to max their daily QI for a while in order to get it, or have to pay lots of money or tc for no qi items or full sets or even to buy QI.

tl;dr im gonna try to make a forum tutorial to help noobs understand how to move their tori
you're on thin ice, pal
