That still doesn't defeat the original point that the basic intent is for it to be acting performances, even if accidents tend to happen.

You forget that all MMA fighters will train not to do some acts or "works" as the pro-wrestlers call it, but they actually train to knock down angry savage beasts with actual punches and kicks, full body contact.
Look at Kimbo Slice, for example. He even fights in the street, and hes a beast. He probably works as hard as 5 pro-wrestlers.
And btw, Mirko Crop Cop was a special law enforcer officer, he can almost chop a head off with his kicks. He works really hard.
