I highly doubt that a reversal in the polarity of the earth would lead to higher radiation levels on earth. Even if you couldn't prove this theoretically, historical and fossil evidence seems to disagree with it. I wouldn't have said this if Beowulf hadn't (almost) demanded that I reply.
My thoughts on this: I reckon it's a load of poppycock. The world won't stop spinning or anything -- but if it did, it might lead to a greater gravitational force acting upon the stuff on earth. A slower spin would have to mean less centrifugal force trying to throw us off, wouldn't it?

Im actually doing about magnetic reversal on earth in science at school, and as far as i know, it moves rocks and continents in different directions dependant on the magnetic field polarity. correct me if im wrong, but earth's magnetic field has always been changing, but never caused any severe damage to us.

A few months ago, National Geographic predicted that by 2050, the North Pole would be located in Russia.
There is no goddamn sudden pole reversal that will kill us all.
This will happen gradually, over thousands of years. The last few times this happened on Earth, there was no 'killer radiation'.
