No random powerchords, made carefully and thoughtfully by talented artists.

sorry, just can't see the attraction there.
How is no one bringing up R&B music in here?

It's included in the poll.
Come on, people. Widen your taste to people not pasty-white and screaming through a 6-string all the time, eh?

I think R&B can easily carry rap to a victory over a single subgenre of rock.

Eminem and Outkast rock.

Flo-rida sucks big cock.

Ha.

You're not into underground rap, thats whats up.
And yes, a lot of mainstream rap sucks. In fact, that type of rap is soooo adulterated, so commercial and empty, that I hardly consider it as real rap anymore.

The lyrics can still talk about sexual and passionate behavior, it depends on how much content and the way they're written, just like these:

But I understand what you're saying. You're talking about the misogynistic bullshit that is flooding the mainstream scene. But the problem is not just about rap. TV as a whole, society as a whole, its all about promoting the sexual side of a woman while not addressing their other qualities.

What is the problem with sexually themed lyrics anyway?
Sex is part of life why shouldn't people rap or sing about it?
I really don't get it. Start masturbating or smth and maybe you see too why people love sex, it's fun. I understand that the way that mainstream rappers rap about sexuality can be stupid, but it doesn't make the theme of the songs supid.

I've heard pretty bad love songs but that doesn't make all love songs baad.

When it becomes the subject most mainstream rappers use, it gets bad, especially when the lyrics sound all alike.
I have left Toribash, but will drop in occasionally on the forums and IRC. Still in Sigma.

You're right. some acts can pull it off. Look at Nuthin But a G Thang, for example.
