I notice some smudge in the eyes?

Smudge was used over the entire head.

With the Smudge tool, even I can be an artist. :3

Nah i'm more like a paintbrush man
first i make a pattern in black and white, then i select them with the wand,
then i just paintbrush it in the desired color, add some black to that color, select the black, add shadow

but it's never as good as this >,<

Oooooh, sexy! The only thing I see that could be improved is the curve where there is no highlight. I think extending it down a bit more would make it seem a lot less flat, like the rest of the stem. ty

I think it would look better when it was a pattern like
a thicker armor plate
a smaller plate that is flex.
thick plate
small plate
etc etc etc
Now it looks like you drew the whole curve and then added stripes on it
