Cya Karan, You've always got a place here if you want to come back ;) It's been good having you here...

Hey Anaminus, I looked at your build and it's pretty nice... I've seen lots of people use the AMD processors at the moment, and the extra cores they have are really good for performance at the moment aswell, clock-speed is quite nice, but I believe the single-core speed is slightly slower than some of the new (similar priced) skylake intel cpu's (e.g. Pentium G440), but having 4 extra cores balances it out.

I'm in the same boat as you, I want to build a good 30-40fps rig but for it not to leave me penniless aswell... I'm currently just playing with concepts, but it's going to be a while for me until I get a final decision on how much i'm willing to spend and the performance that i'm looking for...

I'm either going to go for a complete budget build, which does what I want but means i'll have to play games at lower settings, or i'll go for a higher spec and have to let my wallet be a bit lighter for a little while.

If Not Now, When?
Hey , Never built a computer in my life... i've played around with really budget rigs, swapping out Ram and taking apart and putting them back together, but other than that. it's all going to be an educational experience, I'd much rather build my own and have to deal with some stress than just buy a pre-made one.

Building a computer is pretty simple actually. You just pick out your motherboard first to see if it has everything you want then pick parts that are compatible and have the specs you want. When you get the parts it just playing with legos from there.

Yes, yes, yes thats a perfect way of putting it

It a learning process, I messed up thousands of dollars worth of shit by learning how things work together! But its worth it in the long run, because eventually youll see that building your own PC is much cheaper than going in the stores. stores add the shipping price and profit price to the PC's they sell, but if you build your own you get more for less!

You should get what you want so it lasts you longer and saves you money in the long run, instead of going budget. Besides, what is money for other than spending?
Paragon of paradoxical paradigms.
well, as for me, my budget means the money I have that's not going to bills. if i spend past my budget I cant pay bills.

You can always get what you can for now and replace the part later.
^That is true. But it still sucks having to do that, and you end up spending more money than if you were to just buy the parts you wanted. Xaron, perhaps, if you haven't already, you should pick out exactly what you want and save for that.
