dude, those are normal exams. I havelots of them
in 7 subjects 4 exams a year (each quartal one) which are around 3-4hrs each

3-4 hours? here is 80 minutes :l and we got 13 subjects xD

In total I only got 11 subjects from which 7 are "written subjcts" (meaning I have to write an exam in those).
Nah, I'm not in the university but in the final school year (German Gymnasium, which is the highest of the three advanced schools : Hauptschule, Realschule & Gymnasium).

Russian Revolution/First World War isnt that hard to understand, but since I'm about to leave the house now I dont got the time to explain it in details.

Mostly check the following phrases and their meaning: Lenin, Soviets, sailors, gas, Schliefenplan, Balkan-crisis, powder-keg theory
