@WarCry, i would create black hole, but first i would create some sort of system that can shut it down if something goes wrong. Then i would try to use the black holes power as energy source, and maybe it should be done far away from earth, but then we won't know what went wrong cause everyfile they from how it acts etc. is destroyed with them.

kids, remember that black holes are not a joke, they are serious business.

I honestly dont understand how you could harvest energy from a black hole. Enlighten me.
Thanks.
Besides, the sonic "black hole" that they made is very different from a traditional black hole, i.e it is not a super-dense object, you guys should probably look at this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sonic_black_hole if you haven't already

No, not really. One atom blackhole-ified does not have the required mass to compact other atoms to the amount needed to grow a black hole.

It doesn't. They are completely different. Evolution does not deal with the beginning of life or the universe. Evolution starts when cells start, so for all evolution cares, god could have made the first cell.

Ok. Thus far, us scientific minded people have some beef to back up our theory. The most current and understood evolution begins with elemental matter, such as carbon, 'selectively evolving' into cells. But no, evolution has nothing to do with the beginning of time & space.

Oh, and sorry for the double post. But you dont belive in evolution?
No offense, but these hardcore 'take-the-bible-literally' people are pretty damn naive.
Im not accusing you of being so, just sayin ;)

How could you POSSIBLY belive that all of the sudden, 2 humans appeared. Afterwards, thousands of other animals were created, genetically approaching homosapien step by step. Ha.

what if the system went wrong and all we know about black holes is theories we dont REALLY know how they work.
Correct me if I'm wrong but, black holes just don't suck you up in a instant it pulls so strongly that you get stretched out miles and miles long that's why there's usually a ring of light around a black hole.

f3vr, your wrong. That ring is light orbiting the singularities' gravitational pull. It gets stretched, but we cant see it.
Thanks.

Nope, black holes don't have rings of light around them. Though, there is a distance away from the black hole where you start seeing bent light from behind/the other side of the black hole.

War_Hero is right... Black holes can't have light showing from within, or on the side, of itself. besides I believe that a black "hole" isnt just a hole, its like a sphere. A super-dense sphere. So dense it creates incredible gravity and slowly (but surely becuase there is no escaping a black hole... without going faster than the energy put out from the gravity... which is around trillions of tons per square inch), streching you over lightyears. Once you come in contact with the Event Horizon, there is no escape. in other words... black holes CAN NOT have light coming out of them. Only going in.

its too fast for us too see it.
