Nothing was done to them personally; they took a satiristic cartoon the wrong way. Either way, all around the world; murder of innocents is illegal. It's irrelevant if you feel someone insulted your religion, that doesn't give you the right to murder.
The magazine in question also took stabs at other religions but you don't see anyone from those murdering them.
