Okay, so I'll share the positives that I've experienced:
- Swimming around in the beginning, stabbing/sucking up lesser creatures is awesome.
- Making creatures is very entertaining as long as you have imagination and creativity.
- They walk funny. My creatures do, anyways.
- They talk funny. Having your creature say "bowaaah, quack!" when you click on it never gets old.
- People on the net make creatures, and their names. All of a sudden you're finding yourself posing along with a "Alpha-Hendrix".
Here are what I experienced as negatives:
- The "RTS" part is a fucking joke. You've got two choices; blow other villages to the moon, or befriend them by spewing flowers, singing homoerotic songs and giving away fluffy, disgustingly pinked-up pressies. There is no organization, just click and berserk.
- Why can I only hover and float when my friends can fly high above the canopies?
- Where's the logic in not getting deadlier the more weaponry you've got attached to yourself?
- Why is my beautiful city hall planted on some ugly, brown, trunk-disc-thing?!??
- The cockpits are painstalkingly difficult to fit with your vehicle.
- I want a hat that fits.
- If someone killed 30 of your family members, would you stop hating them if they played some didgeridoo for you?
- Why hunt when you have an endless source of fish?
So all-in-all, it's entertaining, if you never get tired of finding the hilarity in creating babbling creatures with funny walks. It's far from perfect, but I still don't regret I spent a few NOK on it.
