Welcome Nick. Also, make sure to read the clan information/rules on the clan page and follow them. It will give you ease to fit the clan as well as to improve your behavior. I hope you do great in your trial period.

Ele, I expected better of you. Trench coats and peacoats are perfectly fashionable. In moderation. I would highly suggest avoiding the 'duster' style coats unless you're going for that whole look (I happen to own a duster and would have worn it during the winter, had it not been too long for me). The coats pictured in Ele's previous post are fine, provided the rest of your clothes fit the style that surrounds them, namely business casual. Button down shirt, tie, and jeans of any style you prefer. There is an alternate style that befits the use of a trench coat, but it is very much the style of the 1920's and is extremely out of place here in 2015, especially with the collective hatred of fedoras on the internet.

I know a fair amount about style, even if I do not exemplify the values I hold (mostly because I cannot afford to revamp my entire wardrobe and I so hate those 'transitional periods' in which half of my clothes are graphic tees and the other half are casual button downs.)

Welcome to the clan Nick! honestly if I were to buy a jacket I wouldn't buy a peacoat mainly because if your walking around in anywhere that is remotely in style you'd stick out quite a bit. I would go with some grey or black skinny jeans with a nice pair of Adidas shoes and an actually good looking T shirt. Though I would never wear this in a formal situation, casually I would wear this anywhere.

You're reminding me of this. I have linked the first animation in the series and can assure you that they continue to become more and more funny as the creator gets to grips with the process and humour of it. I would advise you watch all of them even if just to gain a greater insight into trench-coats.
Good morning sweet princess
So one day I come down stairs to check the Toribash thread. So I notice that the off-topic thread has a new post in it! I'm scrolling down and I see Rune's avi. I almost shit myself with laughter for some strange reason.

I feel like Rune's avatar might be able to make Vladimir Putin laugh! that guy has such a serious face... I've only seen a few pictures where he's smiled.
I rearranged my room today. So that was fun.
