You don't notice it as distinctly outside of the first few games, but games where there's a resounding stomp of one team results in greater influences on a player's ELO. That's also the reason why after the first game of multiple players, some people will have higher ELOs despite them being on the winning team. There are certainly other factors being used to calculate ELO outside of just wins and losses.

Just googled around and not going to argue. I'm done with functions and probability.

If what you're saying is true then it's not an elo rating. Oh hey look what I found.
