You can't go a game at 1300-1400 without a level 2 gank occuring. And it's almost always at top or mid. Heck, Numbers was ganked at mid 5 times within 5 minutes during one game.

Edit: you know, now that I think about it, Numbers gets ganked exuberant amounts of times regardless of the lane he picks :s

If they've pushed the lane to your tower at the time of a level 2 gank, then they're doing something wrong to begin with.

I don't even think there are any minions hurt by the time the jungler is in position for a level 2 gank.

Most decent junglers would see what lane is countered the hardest and pick out a jungle path specifically getting them close to the lane for an early level 2/3 gank.
