Well I am in a distance relationship for over 3 years now and first of all we were both really shy even online. It got better and better every day. When we first met I was soooo nervous I had a 13 hour flight from germany to paris and from paris to canada. But it was the most amazing thing in the world to meet my girlfriend in real life for the first time c: so yea I'd say it depends on thd person. Most girls like shy guys tho ;)

I never got into doing that online, I only date people in person because I don't see how anyone would want to if they know them through the internet and not in person. It just doesn't seem as personal and authentic.
