Past clan(s) and why you left: Psych Ward, Zone. I left Psych Ward because of really bad inactivity issues, to the point that I was the only one going online anymore, for periods of months. I did lead the clan, and Decided to take my leave after arranging to give leadership to the only other person that remained semi- active during these periods. Zone merged with Oblivion to create Metagame.

» My name is James, I'm 19 years old and I have a relatively long history of playing Toribash as compared to most people that decided to try the game out, specifically this will be the third year I've played it as of June of this year. I live in Pennsylvania, and avidly play Airsoft, write small fan-fictions, play video-games, and play tabletop games. I go to college for Philosophy and Theology, having previously gone for History at Moravian College. I now attend Northampton Community College due to expenses and my inability to obtain the required funds to pay said expenses, and I choose to work my way through college at Walmart, earning near minimum wage whilst unloading the Truck that brings our goods to the people. I love my family, for they are the most broken family you could ask for; It is imperative that you understand my family in order to understand me, because I value them and my close friends over myself. I really enjoy old classic movies. They had a sense of effort that you can really feel from them that you cannot from many (most) new movies. I enjoy Classic Rock, Punk Rock, some Grunge, some Metal, and Classical music. I also love to cook.
--- Why do you want to join this particular clan, as opposed to another clan?
» Metagame has a awesome name. I'm of course joking about that being the reason, but humor is one of the greatest things out there in the cold, cruel world if you have any sense. The reason I want to join Meta is because I developed a family with Zone, the clan that was part of Meta and the one that merged with Oblivion to create Meta. Everyone that has been through thick and thin with me currently resides in Meta, as do my debating partners. They have come to represent my family outside my family, and I hope to continue to make these bonds stronger as time wears on. With this in mind, I also find Meta to be a good group of people (except for Risk, he kind of sucks) that like having fun in the game as well as outside it. I play D&D with several members and also play Magic: The Gathering with a slightly different set of members from this clan. These people that I debate and discuss things with are here as well. These reasons are the ones I give to wanting to join the clan known as Metagame.
--- How might you contribute to Metagame, and, in addition, how might the clan be beneficial to you?
» I can make a pretty sweet stir-fry, and can also make one of the best Irish stews in Pennsylvania. Oh, wait, that's not useful to you guys at all. Um, I'm a fairly decent person I suppose, that works hard to get stuff done. I believe in hard work and discipline, a trait that has been in decline for some years, but could be fairly beneficial to those that appreciate it. I'm in-game often, so I suppose that I can bring recognition to the clan, although you guys have that covered already. I really have nothing else for contributing, as I'm a terrible artist, I suck at making videos, and am maybe, maybe slightly above average in-game. The clan would benefit me by being a group that I could rely on in times that I am really bored or just want to talk, and by being my friends.
--- What experiences have you had with the game and/or the Toribash forum community?
» Toribash has been a huge part of my life for nearly the past two years. When I started playing, the beginner servers were still around, and beginners were harshly introduced to the status quo. Black belt or higher= Gods. I liked it better that way though. You learned faster instead of watching people fall over with nothing too exciting happening. I made friends with many people in that lobby, including Kratos (before his name was Kratos), Aerofox, Koco934 (Sexy Bacon), and all the members of my former clan. After playing for a short while (about three weeks) I met Sparem3, the original leader of Psych Ward, and he invited me to join his clan. After doing so, it took me about a week and a half to gain the co-leader position due to activity on the forums and preforming well in clan wars. After about four months in Psych Ward, Sparem3 quit Toribash indefinitely, leaving me the clan. The clan lasted for about another 4 months of activity, but then it stagnated due to lack of interest. After that, we lost a whole lot of recognition, faded away into obscurity, and I left the clan about 6 months after, when I was about the only one going online. Afterwards I took a 3-4 month hiatus from Toribash. When I came back, I found the game somewhat changed and most of the people I had known gone. I searched around for a clan for a bit, and decided to remain clan-less for a while. I very soon got in-explicitly bored and decided to find a new clan to carry out the remainder of my time in Toribash with. I chose Zone for this particular endeavor of mine, and was accepted. We've been through thick and thin since then, and I don't plan on turning back now. I mostly keep my forum posts within my clan pages, as I feel more at home posting somewhere I know my opinion is warranted.

» I consider myself an optimist. I always attempt to find the good in things, even when situations feel considerably bleak and unforgiving. Idealist, as most of my views center around an idealistic interpretation of humanity and the universe as a whole.
--- What is the meaning and/or purpose of life?
» The meaning of life is to live it to the fullest, and make the most out of yourself to the point where you can look back on what you did and say, "I'm satisfied". This is what I believe to be the purpose of life. As Socrates said, " The unexamined life is not worth living". Reflecting upon your life and the awnsers that you have chosen throughout it is a crucial point to living a good life, and it should be done frequently. If this is done, you will have a satisfactory life, and therefore, have found meaning in it.
--- What is your stance on morality? Is it objective or subjective?
» My view is that morality is Objective. I am religious, but I do try to not use that as a basis for my belief here, as most would dismiss it as actual standing evidence. I also argue this point from the Metaphysical Idea that there is a Form Of Morality that all humans abide by. I would rather go into this more on a thread dedicated to such a topic, as I do not want to make this app any longer than It already is.

» "Baby don't hurt me". Love is an overwhelming emotion that people feel to those close to them, if the ties are strong enough between said individuals.

» Hard mode unlocks cheat codes. Everyone knows that. Too be honest, easy mode didn't help me provide all the information I wished to convey to you guys. The application process is solid, and asks questions that do require thought and reflection. Uh, Would vote for the inclusion of a personality test or something. That's 'bout it.

» I tend to do things the hard way more often. I had this epiphany when I answered the previous question, and didn't have any other answer other than that I felt I needed to convey more than what was provided. I guess deep down inside me there is this part of me that want's to carry the harder burden over others, whether it is just to prove I am able or maybe I wish to be an example for those to come, I have no idea at the moment. However, I suppose that has been ingrained inside myself, and it refuses to budge.
