As far as I know, there's been ice in the south pacific, snow in parts of Africa and an incredible dry spell in all of India. Weather phenomenons happen.
well, i'm just saying with the old interpretation thing: if we cant understand god, how could he tell us how to try to describe his word? Sure the meaning can get pretty close, but things do get lost in interpretation. And it's our fault the translation is faulty.
I think of it like a picture, but parts of it are a little off color. There's no way to know the original, and we can only guess.
Let us note, first; Slipknot, saying that, as a non-Christian I am condemned to an eternity of suffering does not bode well by me, especially when you decide your source is a book with more contradictions than a 5-sided rectangle. If you think that we'll go to Hell because we don't enjoy the idea of worshipping a Deity that is both omnipresent yet absent, omniscient yet sometimes ignorant, and omnipotent yet manifests no power, thats fine. But I don't think its a good idea for you to say we WILL. You don't know that. You BELIEVE that. I wouldn't tell you 'Christianity is just an offspring religion of which many followers were just 'hopping on the bandwagon' - I don;t know that, but it seems like that could be the case. Show your views, but don't bother spouting that elitist crap that Christians are better, and they will go to Heaven. I do beleive some sects of Islam have the same ideas, so either way, your doomed, because you 'don't follow the right religion'.

Secondly; Unless you can read Hebrew, don't even bother pretending you would know exactly what the Bible says. People will twist it in translations. What better way to convert more people than to promote the Greatness of your religion and degradate others in Holy Texts? I think thats reason enough to doubt that everything in the Bible is true to word.

And lastly; There are explanations for quite a few phenomena in the Bible (not all). And just to get this out of the way, Jesus wasn't white.

Oh, and if you wish to dispute this, you're welcome to. Just because I say so doesn't mean it even runs through fully in my head.

Q = QUAKER OATS
Three rules of Q - 1. Qegola and Quarantine both start with Q. 2. There is no U in Qegola. 3. Qegola is you new god.

So a man walks into a bar with a monkey. I forgot the rest of the joke but your mom is a whore.

Ohk heres why I said we should just stop arguing because I have my beliefs and you have yours and we wont shift each others ideas. And its not just the bible that makes people believe in God its also things like when you pray for something and it happens just as you asked for it. You may call it just coincidence but put together with what the bible says I very much doubt it would be. Also things in revelation about anti-chrits and wars and natural disasters, all of those things have happened or are happening. Anyway im not telling you that my beliefs are better than yours or that im better than you, as i have said you are entitled to your beliefs.
reading all of this i am finding myself more inclined to atheism just because the guy everyone prays to either could care less or wants u to lick his asshole clean.
A lot of people humanize God. They give god emotions other than love. I thought that was a major "separation" between us and god. If anything, I think that's not a good way to think about it. This isn't a superhuman, it's God. Get the difference?

Interesting. How could this "universe" God i've been thinking about love? But then again, how do we love? Maybe these so called "inanimate" objects do "love"...Hmm...

I think God would have alot of the emotions we have since we were created in His image.
lol, you have it backwards. He created us in His image. We didn't create Him in our image.
