I haven't seen these two mentioned, I personally enjoyed them immensely.

Also, I agree with Elfen Lied being good, but it put me into a depressed state for a good 2 weeks after watching it. It's also gory as hell. And has nudity. So ya... it's a bit of a mindfuck.

The ANIME of Elfen Lied put you into a depressed state for 2 weeks? In this case, don't touch the manga, you may commit suicide.

Ok guys, i know you have suggested a lot of animes but here is something that i want right now.

- Male main character.
- Supernatural abilities.
- Long story (not like 12 episodes, hate'em -_-)

I was going to reccomend FoolyCooly and then I saw Long Story.

I think it has to do with being able to sympathize with the main character or being able to imagine yourself in their shoes. When you're a guy you can't really do that with a female mc.

That's just what I think is his reasoning. I might be wrong.

Also, have you seen Darker Than Black? That seems to be something like what you're looking for.
