I'm watching it right now.

The game's only excitement for me are the movesets. Stages are for scenery, and items are too lopsided.

No longer excited :c

Zero Suit Samus looks really strong as a zoning fighter, as well as Greninja. They both look like possible pickups for me.

Little Mac confirmed as the best thing to happen to Smash ever. He was amazing in that tournament and if it's that fun to watch someone good play him it must be really fun to play him yourself. Everyone else looks pretty cool but I think there'll still be some people I don't go for just because I'm not a fan of their general playstyle. (i.e. olimar)

In case anyone missed the latest reveal

Unbelievably, Olimar won in some part.

I could barely see any difference in his moveset but his playstyle is interesting but weak

I have no idea what you're smoking. Olimar was strong in Brawl, and he still looks like the god-tier ground game, above-average air game character that he was. If anything, his ground game looks even stronger.

Olimar got weaker because he is now only allowed to have 3 active pikmins at a time.
Olimar is still strong tho, yes.

Palutena reminds me of zelda and little mac confirmed best ground fighter.
Also, I hope Luigi isn't 90% mario this time

Not counting 64, Luigi has never been a clone of Mario.

From top of my head:

In Melee he shared animations for neutral and down bs, throws and some smash attacks with Mario/Doc Mario.

In Brawl he shares even less.

Even if he shared animations in Melee most of WeeGees attacks had differences in mechanics.

In 64 he was inferior 100% clone.

In brawl IIRC:

Luigi has negative friction, meaning he actually slides rather than comes to a stop. Only character with this feature.

Luigi's up special has a sweet spot unlike Mario's, which enable KO potential.

Luigi's side special is a charged up explosion, which is a horizontal recovery move. Mario has a cape which changes both direction and directional acceleration of projectiles and characters.

Luigi's Down Special I'm forgetting, I think it was use to be his down aerial? Mario has his F.L.U.D.D which is a 0 damage direction influence device used for edgeguarding.

Luigi's Dash Attack is a multi hit multiple punch attack whereas Mario has a sweep kick from soccer.

Luigi's down taunt is an easter egg that actually meteor smash if another player cliff-grabbing.

So that's just off the top of my head, outside of height weight jump speed and other variables that make them very un-clone like.

Personally: I'd rather see more discrepancies between Ganondorf and Captain Falcon. An incorporation of Ganon's twin swords for increase range to make up for his abysmal speed and recovery

All correct. A+ for that.

Almost all correct, read Oracle's post bellow.
(Also, I have no idea what I thought I read in that down b sectionm or if I read it at all)

Also Weegee's wavedash distance in Melee and PM > everything (just kidding, Super Wavedashing > Luigi's wavedash), but the whole list was there to illustrate the idea that Luigi shares pretty much the bare minium with Mario when considering their lore.

I personally like the Heavy Powerhouse vs Captain of Speed setup Nintendo has going with Ganon & Falcon.

Ganon's and Falcon's recoveries are bad, but the real problem with Ganon is his lack of answers to characters with projectiles and/or disjointed hitboxes. And unlike Captain Falcon he can't "cover" that weakness with his speed.

Though, Ganon has great hard read & mindgaming potential, even in Brawl.
He's much much better in Melee and PM (imho he isn't that bad in Brawl either, it's just that all top tiers have both disjointed hitboxes and projectiles or are Metaknight...), but I doubt that Sakurai actually "fixes" him for SSB4.
