who are you to say who lives and dies. You can't, everybody is assuming that he will have a troubled life if put through adoption. Statistics are based on past events. Nothing is for certain.
You can't deprive a child of a life just because you assume that it is going to be a bad one.
That is not for us to control, everybody lives for a purpose and thinking you can play god and chose weather someone lives or dies is just stupid.
I was in foster care all my life and I am not troubled I am living a good life. This can happen to many others if given the chance.
It's not the adoption that is bad, but that only 48% have been adopted in 2012. That's a like throwing a coin. You are just basing everything on the religious view that we are all here for a reason, we all have a purpose and something to do before dying.
As you said, nothing is certain, so we can only base our decisions on statistics and probabilities if we don't know anything more.
Want another example? Here it is. 10 guys jump from a 5 meters wall. 8 of them broke several bones. 1 died. 1 landed perfectly fine. Now, knowing that, would you jump from that wall? Experience from the past is the only thing we have to decide.
Edit: duck ninjad my example
