I know that art makers in this community are mostly ppl that are doing it for the sake of helping out, fueled just by enthusiasm and that they don't have any education in design, digital art or know how to use programs for editing images professionally, but some standards must be kept when you are putting a banner on the main web portal of a game, especially if that banner is used to promote a new item for users and players of this game. Item that will be bought by those same users.

I might be an asshole, but I'm an asshole who is successfully working as a designer almost twelve years by now, so when I spot shit I say it is shit. You may like that shit, it might be even pleased to your eyes, but to me it is SHIT. Professional deformation, sorry.

I'm not bashing a guy who made that banner and guys who were responsible to let that pass to forum page because I want to glorify myself or because I'm an asshole, but because I like this forum and this place, and things like that stain its image.

Fact is: that banner is made from screenshot from TB, in low resolution, drenched in brushes and with overlay layer with overused color burn (or color dodge, both are awful). There is no any kind of text to even advertise the fez, nor you can even spot the new item unless you really try (same blood brush that has been used around it is in same red color of fez, so fez looks like just another drop of copy/paste blood).
All of this hint that banner was made in the last second, maybe in same time when the item hit the store. It was made like that because regular artist who work on it where probably away and someone else had to step in, favor was asked or something, and it was rushed.

I say, better that promotion was postponed a few days then to be impulsive and rush things. This forum doesn't deserve it.

And better to be harsh and show that you care then to stay quiet and not say nothing because someones feelings might get hurt because his 'masterpiece' is not admired by every person in the community.

Three or four years ago, when responsible ppl were more interested in the image, look and feel of TB forum and game, that shit would be laughed off, shunned and mocked. I'm glad to be an asshole that still has his eyes on the right place.

Item Forger I've tested but not recently. my suggestion make another forum just for idea's and free expression.. then have a global vote for the item of your choice each week and see witch one wins then release it and start again.. :P money can come easy this way also my favorite thing is the hair's also they sell very good. speaking for the flamers ;P aha no offence flames are really expensive. Maybe make them less cpu intensive and more graphically intensive. Because most Toribash players play on max Graphics and deal with the short delay but it isn't even noticeable in a turn based game so graphics are less important compared to being able to click all the joint you would like. so overall I suggest fix the hairs lag and add everything that works good with the flames.

@80J4N. The banner was made by Pal. Who is a very talented artist, just remember you don't look good bashing other users for personal gain. If you don't like it don't say anything and volunteer to do the next banner. Don't pick out every flaw within the art piece itself. You're just being a bully; the artist had little choice on what to have on the banner. He asked if it should have writing but was told that the art piece spoke for itself. If you've proven yourself as an artist people will contact you and not others but that didn't happen did it? Please don't reply to this because I really don't care what you have to say. Don't bully others to make yourself seem amazing. It doesn't work.
