Filters.

Personally I don't like 'em because some people who are new to Gimp only use filters.
It is okay to use 1 or 2 but some people use it for the whole creation.

Normally it crowds the work.
Bored of this....

True.I use all the available sources.layer style,some filters,image modes and most of the adjustments,and the most thing that i ever use in any pic(except my avy)is the dodge and burn tool.
