No, Ninja, it is not strange at all.

We are in the age of pisces I believe, also known as the age of sun, and the sun is commonly referred to as a god.
Therefor there are multiple gods, hence the name "Age of Pisces".
We are about to be entering the age of aquarius, the age of man, so it is safe to assume we will stop believeing in god, and work on ourselves.
It is also safe to assume we will be god like entities by the end of the age of aquarius, because an age lasts 2150 years, and there have been multiple predictions by a man, that turned out right, and he has predicted we will arive at neo-humanity around the year 2050.
I have gotten some of this information from the movie "Transcendent Man".
I would suggest watching it for more information on Neo-humanity, and all of the predicted upcoming technologies.
