However, as a general statement, we are on xbox semi-often, so it's cool that you are, too. My xbox motor shit out on me, though, so I haven't been on as of late. I'll be prying that thing open and trying to fix it sometime soon, though.

My xbox gets RROD 5 minutes after turning it on, every time. So mine's broken too..

Try sending it in if it's a hardware RROD. You have to look at how many rings the RROD is, because that tells you exactly what's wrong with it. Microsoft will take xboxes sometimes and fix them if it's more system malfunction than owner abuse.

Yeah, it says it's because of overheating, but I know that it isn't. How can it overheat in 5 minutes every time even when its cold with an internal fan??

Although, it could be overheating because it needs some thermal glue or something o.o

You might need to crack it open and have a look at the internal fan. If you don't take proper care of it, dust and whatnot goes into the intake and cakes the fan and internal technology, which can really screw you over. Also, if it overheated bad enough on a certain occasion, you could have partially melted your system; literally.
