Lolz naw all the artist you just named have some crazy music, some of which you'll only be able to play in a couple years (maybe a year if you practice ALOT). Specially blues. I mean jesus christ blues is so amazing, like jazz, and really really hard to play. Blues and jaz are where it's at if you want to make some nice smooth sounding solos, I LOVE blues solos.
That's amazingly true, most great guitarists start out learning blues because the key element of blues is the ability to improvise a song which makes it quite unique.
Also, I've been playing guitar for about six months already, and I taught myself for 4 of those with tabs. Before guitar I learned sax and some piano, and those taught me to be able to recognize sheet music notes, but I still can't play any sheet music xD
