I still remember using a dial up when I was young. When social media wasn't a thing, exchanging mails and chatting on messenger was the shit. Streaming videos, or looking for porn was significantly hard.

My ADSL's speed goes only around 160kb/s download. Good enough, around 70-80ms ping on Dota2 when the speed's constant at 160.

Cousin's in japan. Even the free wifi in his uni's cafetaria has 6mb/s. So yeah. U can guess how much download/upload speed an average home wifi would have.

A friend of mine went to Germany-Switzerland a couple of weeks ago and sent me a screenshot of the speedtest on the Swiss wifi. 26mb/s, free wifi in public.
