Exactly! I don't think people understand this, but that is the ONLY way to get meat. A quick and easy death would be more favorable, but that would only be more money.
It's all about the money in the industry, not much else matters. Farmer's couldn't care less about how their cows are slaughtered if it's the cheapest way possible.

Honestly this doesn't affect me. I'd have no problem seeing this happen and eating chicken or anything. It's actually kind of cool we've established dominance over every animal and every species.
