no not that that's too simple. I mean that a trumpet is in the key of Bb and Tuba is in C but they both play the same pitch with the same fingering it's just not the same when it is transcribed on the staff ( I know the staves are different that's not what I mean )

in an orchestra built in say c, for the sake of their music. and others may want their instruments to match in a different key? so when they all play that piece written in c they all match because their cbuilt.?
