Luigi's down special was the same in Brawl as it was in Melee: rapid, moving, multi-hit spinning top move with a knockback at the end of it. Also known as practically useless, because you might as well down smash while sliding, and it had poor recovery compared to side special.

Pretty sure you don't have to charge the down special, and it doesn't stop your movement as much if you hit anyone

The return on charging side special would result in about the same drop distance as a down special recovery with almost twice the horizontal recovery. Plus people used side special for recoveries at least slightly above edge level, blocking it with your body would both give up free damage for a relatively free stock at that point, and risk losing ground control should you not block far enough out, or get overshot by one of the random super side specials. Plus why not just spike them rather than body block?

Samus, mario, and zelda, ftw. If you can get their moves down, zelda, is the trixter, mario is the power house (love that downward punch), and samus is the all around char. :[] Just takes practice.

Mostly accustomed to sb melee than the other games, but I have stuck with the same chars throughout each one.

Dmau5 was a professional player of Super Smash Bros Brawl, and won a good amount of cash playing at tournaments.

What region are you in? I only ask because there always seems to be a healthy amount of tournaments on the coast compared to anywhere else.

I never could find any brawl tournaments where I was. Although I was able to do pretty well in a few local melee matches.

Falcon is god.

I am in the southern region. I think it involves like 5 or 6 states. I went to San Japan and played against the number 1 player of Texas, which is where I live. He was godly but I held my own.

I main Snake and Samus mostly, but I like Squirtle, Dedede, and Ganon.
I pretty much play anyone though. I'm not one of those people who play only 1 person, I know how to use everyone.
