You can have influence on what mods are played by sending me propositions, list of at least three mods you'd like to see on tourneys.

First, You just can't choose the mod you can play, that sounds like selfishness, why? Well, sometimes, you just want to change the mod, and well, you can't anymore.

Second, I'll never see my high ranked~low ranked friends in the tourney, i'll be obliged to play with my rank people, which sucks, you just don't have more differences.

Third, Well, I'm in the server room now, and, it's empty... Not even a poor lost soul there. I like, to play judo, And i know a bunch of people from Tourney4 old server, that played judo, because it is a simple mod, that you don't need to be a pro, to play, and you can have a lot of fun, just watching people being "judoed", I didn't saw judo being mentioned there, besides of a lot of other mods.

And for these motives, it looks like, every tourney player has been punished, and sentenced play a mod, you may not want, to people that you may not know, and wait half an hour, to play a tourney.
After this, I'm really considering leave toribash again, I know, that one player might not be important, But i'm pretty sure, that i'm not the only one.
Sorry If there's any English Mistake, Secondary Language.

At this time, and for the next few hours the tourney rooms will have quite a few players in them. Also, if you like a certain mod, go to a private server. Tourneys are not supposed to be easy/quick tc. They are supposed to be challenging, and you need to work for the tc. The mods that have been chosen for the rotation are mods that require some skill to play. Although judo is a popular mod, all you need to do is hold all and move a few limbs.

We are not sentencing anyone to anything. If you wish not to play a tourney because you are unable to select the mod, that is your opinion. And to clarify the interval situation, the long waits are set in place so we don't destroy the tori-economy.

As for you leaving. This one small change should not cause you to quit. If you like the game, you will have just as much fun playing with friends and clan members in a private server.

This whole idea has been implemented to create a fair and fun tourney environment for everyone. You are not playing with people that are to skilled for you, and you are not playing people that will give you an easy win. Also, in servers 2nd and up, there is a big tc boost compared to the original tourneys.

I can see where you are coming from, but you need to give the change a bit of a chance, and stick around to see if you like it. Personally, I enjoy the change. I get to go into a lobby where I am equally matched with other players, and then I compete for a fair amount of tc. Not much more to ask for.

The proper amount of math has gone into this. As of now, we know what we are doing. But, if we change a lot of stuff around, we could kill the market.

This is awesome but I think we should still have 1 or 2 public tourneys with low inetervals and low prizes.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I like the new system, but could the wait be reduced? The time it takes to start the tourney is way to long in my opinion. :[

PS. How does this
Tori-economy work ?

FAU is the ULTIMATE college experience.
So I have been taking a look at this for a while and decided to finally post.

The improvement of the tourney rooms is I believe a two edged sword. On one hand it does allow higher ranked players to play together and earn TC relative to their rank with out random lower belts entering it and noobing it at times (because yes there are lower belts that do play better). But at the same time for those of us who usually stick to one mod and specialize in it and have kind of formed our own little sub community around mod X will probably not enjoy it that much as some people have already shown.

Perhaps it would be better to have both the new tourneys and the old ones working together and by that I mean:

Considering that the new tourneys hand out a lot of TC compared to the old ones, the older tourneys could work with less TC being given out. That way those of us who do not want to change to other mods or feel forced to just to earn some TC can continue enjoying ourselves as we used to and basically wait for the calender rotation until our mod shows up. That being said, this would probably accomplish the goal of motivating people to play other mods if they are given the choice to play a tourney of their choosing for a lot less TC and at the same time have the new tourneys running with their current TC on rotations.

I do think it is better to keep people with the option of taking a choice rather than have the choice forced on to them. Sure we can say you can create private rooms to play with your buddy's and stuff but how many people who play this even bother to try to make a room and much less make on in the tourney knockout format that a few of us are already used to (I expect someone will either reply the how to after this post or pm it, but it still doesn't change the situation).

Once again, to summarize I believe that in order to keep almost everyone happy I believe it would be best to keep both tournament formats, with the older version giving less TC gains than what it used to and the new one just as is.

I wholeheartedly disagree, they've played more, they earn more.
I'm a bit unsure of this. I freaking loved tpl. Although I like tc change, even though I can only play ABD..see how it works out.
and how about sending global broadcasts (belt targeted and/or subscirbable) minute or two before starting every tourney ?
