The way you do eyes is unique. It's nothing I've seen before.
oh and a rule of thumb:
if you get a boner while drawing, you're doing it right.
and doing patterns in clothing is a pain in the ass; especially in manga. That's why manga artists have a little plastic piece with the pattern and cut the piece with a scalpel and place it on top of the already shaded area as seen here:

well to be fair, it does apply to most clothing in manga.

Yeah, I know that thing, it's a screen tone and it's pretty expensive. But if you're using screen tone, it gonna looks flat. But I believe I saw a tartan pattern but not using a screen tone in a manga.

Nope. I'm afraid I'm too lazy to do it. I prefer to be an illustrator than a mangaka.
Anyway, just finished the drawing. The pattern is messed up, it should be called Tartar instead of Tartan, lol.
